Yes it seems true that Microsoft Bing has beaten Twitter in just a month of its launch. Well i just now checked Alexa for the latest site rankings and was amazed to see that Bing has made it to no. 16 in just 1 month of its launch and twitter the hot social networking site follows at no. 19.
According to the reports presented by Bing’s community Bing has made an 8 percent increase in the number of its unique visitors for June (comparisons are to its previous effort, Microsoft Live Search). And Bing shows its gratitude by thanking the users for their support and feedback on its official blog.
In Bing shopping they show a nearly 3X increase in the site visits whereas a 5.42% increase in transactions to Bing cashback. On Bing travel a 90% increase of traffic is noticed by them.
Well i feel that an 8 percent increase in traffic is good indicating progress and with this kind of flow i am sure that Bing will soon make it to no. 2 in the Alexa rankings. Then it will be the toughest competitor Google has ever faced ,thanks to the Microsoft developers. Here you can read the official Bing Blog.
i am using both Bing and Google a nd i think both search engines give relevant search results. i would still prefer Google though, because it gives a little bit more relevant search results than Bing.
@ Yumi Vega Adding to that, Google now has introduced real time search. So just another reason to use it !
i have been using the BING search engine for a couple of weeks. it seems to be as good as Google but for some reason i would still want to stick with Google search engine.
Bing does give search results much like Google but i would have to say that Google still gives more relevant search results.

@Rocker We cant actually compare Bing with Twitter as the former is a search engine and latter is a social media site. However, in terms of traffic bing is certainly giving a hard time to Twitter !!

Bing search engine gives almost the same search results as Google. Looks like Google will now have a tough competition when it comes to search engine technology.
@Acneboy I dont agree with you, bing (atleast for me) isnt performing that good. But it will for sure give a tough competition to google in near future.

twitter has 52 staff and microsoft has hundreds… twitter is no where near to search engine. Bing will rise in top ten soon.
You are right but Twitter is fast emerging as next gen Social media. Its growing at a rapid pace. Although there is no direct competition but it might give a tough one in future..
